AI transparency statement
Where AI is used
AI organises the facts you provide, summarises documents, suggests questions, builds draft timelines and prepares briefs for Kelly. Everything AI-generated is labelled AI in the portal.
What AI is not allowed to do
- Decide whether you have a valid legal claim, or guarantee an outcome.
- Invent legislation, policy clauses or citations — statements are backed by shown sources or flagged as unverified.
- Tell you human help is unnecessary in a high-risk situation, or close your case.
- Send you a formal response in Kelly's name without her review.
Human review
Urgent situations are escalated to Kelly by deterministic safety rules — not just AI judgement. Responses labelled as reviewed record who approved them.
Deadlines
Dates the AI extracts are always labelled potential — verify. We never rely on AI alone to calculate a legal deadline.
Job evaluation and banding
The banding section helps you gather and organise evidence about what your job actually involves, in the same categories your employer's panel uses. It does not evaluate your job and it does not decide your band. Only your employer's job matching or job evaluation panel — which includes staff-side representatives — can do that.
- Every level we show is indicative, always evidence-linked, and reviewed factor by factor by Kelly before you see anything.
- Where you haven't told us enough about a part of your job, we say not enough information and ask you a question. A short answer is never treated as a low one.
- The factor definitions, points and band boundaries we use are loaded reference data, versioned and shown on every report. The AI is never allowed to supply them from memory, and scoring switches off entirely if that reference data is missing.
- Points totals, band ranges and every date are calculated by ordinary tested code, never by AI.
- Where Kelly disagrees with an AI suggestion, her decision is what is recorded — and the disagreement is kept so we can measure and improve.
- Be aware: a band review looks at your whole job. It can confirm your current band, and in principle it can result in a lower outcome. We will always talk to you about that before you submit anything.
Your data and AI providers
Only the minimum relevant excerpts of your case are sent to the AI provider, under settings where your case material is not used for model training.
